I was encouraged by my father-in-law Mark and my friend Kanen, who was in town for Thanksgiving, to get back on doing my weekly guitar covers, even if the social media reinforcement isn’t necessarily there like I thought it might be. If nothing else is an indicator of improvement, I finished videos for this one, a blink song, three Green Day tracks, and another by Jimmy Eat World in the time it usually took me to do one!
That guitar is my oldest, a Fender Tom Delonge Signature Series Stratocaster I got for Christmas in 2003 with a Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker pick-up. I don’t play it as often as I used to, mainly because I feel like I should be using the ones spent money on more recently, but I’ve never let that one go despite periods of financial desperation or lack of interest, and it’s still one of the first things I’d grab to take with me if the house was on fire.
I should say something about the store, I suppose, so I’ll direct your attention to the tables to the right as you walk in the store, which we’ve re-stocked and will continue to refresh between now and Christmas with graphic novels at up to 80% OFF, so even if you took advantage of the offerings for Black Friday, be sure to check again the next time you’re in!
