Tomorrow night I make my triumphant (and I say triumphant because I’ve never seen them lose in person) return to Yankee Stadium for the first time since September 2014, when my parents got me tickets for Derek Jeter’s third to last game at home!
I’ve looked up to Jeter since he was a 19 year old kid playing AA ball for the Greensboro Hornets in the early ‘90s, and I’ve always looked at my professionalism from a WWJDD attitude (and stayed clean shaven for the last three years moving into and opening the store in staying “game ready” with the Yankees facial hair guidelines).
When he stopped playing, I only felt more of a kinship as he came to understand that owning the Yankees, a pinnacle for the sporting world, was never going to be a real possibility, so he turned to the fish (the Miami Marlins) to make his dreams come true!
