Ssalefish GSO First Look #145 for 1.15.20

I spent a lot of my downtime at the shop on Friday and Saturday tracing progressively more difficult Galaxy’s Edge logos to really dial in my Illustrator skills for something shop-not-Star-Wars-related that people have been asking about for a very long time and will hopefully be ready to show off next week!

This week’s guitar cover is Simple Plan’s “I’d Do Anything”! SP was always a little too on the pop-punk nose for me (yes, there is such a thing). From their look to their riffs to their lyrics to Pierre Bouvier’s extra-nasally voice, they were like what My Chemical Romance was to emo. But Mark Hoppus guested on “I’d Do Anything”, granting them early cred with me, and even more props to them for continuing to tour and put out albums with the exact same five-piece line-up for twenty years!
