Enjoying WandaVision on Disney+? We are! It’s definitely fun in a different way from the excellence of The Mandalorian and most likely the buddy cop show that Falcon & Winter Soldier will be, and the way the theories fly after every episode reminds me of when Lost or the later seasons of Battlestar Galactica were on. And since they’re based on comic book characters, or recommendations if you’re enjoying the series are:
Avengers Disassembled - by Brian Michael Bendis & David Finch. Scarlet Witch’s breakdown was much more in-your-face in the comics and was derived from different motivations than Vision dying. An honorable mention goes to New Avengers #26, when Wanda rejoins continuity almost two years after the events of House of M with a most strange bedfellow that is definitely not the Vision.
Young Avengers - by Allan Heinberg & Jim Cheung. Since we’re already halfway through the event, I doubt the show will get to the superhero stories of the twins, Billy & Tommy, as they become Wiccan & Speed in the future and help make what could have been a Muppet Baby-version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes into an endearing legacy.
Vision - by Tom King & Gabriel Hernandez Walta. This was rumored to be the basis for the show, which also seems to be misplaced speculation at this point, but it’s fantastic and still uses the themes of the Avengers forcing themselves into “normal” neighborhood life regardless of the consequences for their human neighbors.
