There's gonna be a LOT going on this coming Wednesday!

First off, there's my 33rd Birthday/ 33% OFF Backstock Sale (my birthday is actually on Tuesday, but I'll gladly accept any well-wishes or goodies on New Comic Book Day)! Nothing is held back (well, except the backwall), the regular Buy 5, Get the 6th FREE deal will still be in effect, and we're putting out new books as we speak! It's our first sale on the back issue bins, and we need some room for a big changing coming up when September rolls around.

Then there's the double signing, Frog Days of Summer, from 11 AM - 6 PM with Brian "Smitty" Smith and Chris Giarrusso! We'll be celebrating Smitty's book Tree Mail winning the Kids' Comics Awards at the Ann Arbor Comic Arts Fest in June, as well as welcoming G-Man & Mini Marvels creator Chris G. to the neighborhood, having relocated to Greensboro over the 4th of July weekend!

We survived the Warped Tour! It was touch-and-go there at times, but we did!

It was just as hot as I remembered and the weather ended up being just as unpredictable as ever, with a sand-storm-turned-downpour blowing in out of nowhere and threatening all of our merchandise and taking the life of our poor tent on its inaugural journey.

But nothing will beat the experience of getting all access, watching basically a small town with seven stages be constructed right before our eyes, standing in line for lunch with headlining bands, and seeing the show from a performer's perspective backstage.

Working on something neat tonight with my pal Smitty! Not the final product by any means, but hopefully it'll be ready to unveil sometime in July!

It's been a wild few days loading in our more than 400 square feet of merchandise to the Charlotte Convention Center, running around for 11 hours during the first day of the show, sleeping in a room with four other folks, and driving home first thing this morning to work all day at the shop today, then back down after 8 PM, but it's all worth it to get you guys the book you want all the way across the Piedmont!

Even though the batarangs from yesterday's Instagram shenanigans have sold via Facebook, I still can't get over how much fun it was tossing those things around the back (and how shocked I am there was no ricochet that sent one straight through my sandaled feet.

This weekend is obviously a celebration of the Princess of Power's 75 year journey to the big screen in her first solo movie, and we'll be getting in on the action giving away FREE copies of Wonder Woman Rebirth #1 at the AMC Classic 18 Cinemas (formerly Carmike 18) on Koger Blvd. tonight starting at 6 PM!

Then we'll blow it out on Saturday from 11 AM - 8 PM with FREE copies of Wonder Woman #1 (Rebirth) and DC Super Hero Girls Summer Olympus while supplies, plus FREE bracelets & tiaras for the first 25 people through the door!
