Next week is a monster, headlined by our exclusive variant to Universal Monsters Frankenstein #1 drawn by Sveta Shuina, limited to 750 copies worldwide. Even more exciting, Colton has been the creative force behind the whole thing, making his love of monsters and horror a fun and vibrant reality for us all to enjoy!

On top of that, there’s Aliens vs. the Avengers, a double-sized Amazing Spider-Man, and an 85th anniversary special from Marvel, the treasury-sized reprint of Superman vs. Mohammad Ali from DC, and the 40th anniversary reprint of Transformers #1 from Image!

Hopefully you’ve been staying dry on this dreary Thursday. Me, Jay and Mike have been hunkered down at the shop overhauling our back issue bins with brand-new dividers and hundreds of new comics for your browsing please, so be sure to check them out next time you’re in!

That said, we were paid a visit by a famous frankfooter yesterday in the parking lot, which caused Jay & I to go down a rabbit hole of Weinermobile lore. For example, did you know that each vehicle has two drivers, known as hot doggers, which have to be college seniors to apply, and last year there were 7,000 applicants for the 12 national positions!

Stephen’s So-Called Emo Life!

• The Boys Season 4 - I don’t know if I’ve ever watched another show where if you look away or miss a single scene, the entire game has changed, and that happens three or four times every episode. It makes me want to go back and try the comics again (I stopped at the end of the second arc when Black Noir had sex with an asteroid to make it explode, thus avoiding the collision with Earth).

• Sourcery - now that I finally finished Temptations of the Force and have about a month window until Beware the Nameless on the 27th, I’m back on my Terry Pratchett ish.

• Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed - Carly has been jonesing for a game we can “play together”, a.k.a. she can watch me play ever since I finished up Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi Survivor, so this is for her!

Tonight at 7:30 PM EST, Jay and Colton will be running our biggest WhatNot show to date, as they put up for sale a run of Spawn from #100-299! If you haven’t used WhatNot yet, it’s a great platform to score some amazing deals, and local pick-up is available. Even if you’re not interested in buying anything, it’s a spectacle to behold by just joining the chat.

Stephen’s So-Called Emo Life!

• Star Wars Temptation of the Force - the latest in the High Republic age, which I’m definitely even more clued into now with the Acolyte on the air.

• MLB The Show - if I can’t watch the Yankees put together a win streak in real life, I’ll go undefeated in my video game fantasies instead.

• Trying - an extremely heartfelt British show on Apple TV+ that I’m not sure anyone watches except for me & Carly.

• MaXXXine - Pearl and X were the perfect level of scary that me and the Mrs. can handle, so we’ll be going to see the final installment on the big screen!

The July 4th Buy 4 Get 4 FREE Sale on back issues, toys, and statues that I announced last week has kept us busy all morning here at the shop, and being are walking out with bags of books and action figures for next to nothing! We’re having so much fun, in fact, that we’re going to keep it rolling for the rest of the weekend!

In addition to all of the vintage toys that have been filling up any free space we had on the sales floor, we just picked up a collection of more than a dozen long boxes that will be replenishing the backwall, back issues bins, and pack boxes over the next couple of weeks, including a complete run of Spawn from #1-299!

Is anyone else watching Star Wars: The Acolyte on Disney+ right now? Because no one is talking to me about it and it is bananas. No one is safe on that show in a way I haven’t seen since Game of Thrones!
