With the new year, we’re going to be slightly changing up our hours on Monday and Tuesday, opening 12 PM - 5 PM just like Sunday instead of 11 AM - 7 PM like Thursday - Saturday. Hopefully this tweak doesn’t affect you too badly and we look forward to seeing you during our new normal business hours!
Next week is back to a true full week of new releases with new jumping on points for Aquaman, Daredevil, Champions, and more!

I love the casting of Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane after seeing her in the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and it’s awesome to see Krypto in live-action for the first time. I didn’t expect to see Mr. Terrific or Hawkgirl or Guy Gardner yet, but I think sticking with Guy’s comic-accurate haircut could be one of those fan-service things I could have done without.
All that to say, I’m excited for a Big Blue Boy Scout movie for the first time since 2006, and if you’re excited, too, I encourage you to read up on Grant Morrison & Frank Quitely’s All-Star Superman, available in a full size paperback or a $9.99 DC Compact Comic edition!
Read MoreI am always a mark for a good comic holiday special, and this year we’re blessed with an abundance, from DC’s Batman Smells, Robin Laid an Egg and the Batman/ Santa Claus Silent Knight sequel, to Image’s Dread the Halls and EC’s Shiver Suspenstories, to Marvel’s Holiday Tales to Astonish. I love it when characters and creators take a time out to remember the feelings of the season. It goes great with a glass of egg nog, reading by the light of the Christmas tree. However, it’s hard for anyone to beat the sentiment of 1994’s Batman Adventures Holiday Special.

They’ve got what’s sure to be another hit on their hands as shoulder devils Collar and Rake reveal themselves to the humans they torture on a daily basis with a plan to bring them infamy and power on Earth that’s sure to get the two lowly devils promoted back in Hell, which is more a Monsters Inc. style bureaucracy than Dante imagined.

Jaws - I had never actually seen the “first summer blockbuster” all the way through in one sitting before last night, and I was finally able to appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is. The fact that it got all the jump=scares out of Carly speaks to its power half a century later.
An American Werewolf in London - this was less of a masterpiece despite the terrific special effects, especially with as abruptly as it ends.
Upper Middle Bogan - not sure how we stumbled across this Australian found-family sitcom, but we’re three out of four seasons deep in less than a week!
