Colton has officially moved down to Concord and the store is coming along! The contractor still has to paint and polish the concrete floor (very glad we don’t need to go through all of that again [I’m too old for that kind of back-breaking now]), but we are continuing to build up stock in the meantime!

We’re now the official online retailers of Chris Giarrusso’s G-Man Cape Crisis & G-Man Coming Home graphic novels! We’ve been friends with Chris for over ten years, and since Image is no longer publishing the series, teaming up was just the next natural step. Every day they’ll be buy one, get the second 50% OFF in the set, but if you’re an educator looking to get a class set or library copies, please feel free to reach out for an even better deal!

As many of you already saw on Facebook earlier today, I put together a new Greensboro exclusive logo for the shop featuring everyone’s favorite sales associate, Lois! Rest assured that we’re already into production on stickers, buttons, and enamel pins that you’ll be able to pick up very soon!

We also launched the Ssalefish Comics - Concord Facebook Page this morning, so head on over there and hit “like” to get a preview of new merchandise for the new shop, Colton’s travails as he moves to his new home, and the most up-to-date opening info!

I spent a lot of my downtime at the shop on Friday and Saturday tracing progressively more difficult Galaxy’s Edge logos to really dial in my Illustrator skills for something shop-not-Star-Wars-related that people have been asking about for a very long time and will hopefully be ready to show off next week!

Sick of Star Wars yet? Too bad! I got a Jedi robe that I’m not ashamed to wear out in public and a DL-44 for which I now need a holster for Christmas! I’m also reading Bob Iger’s book The Ride of a Lifetime, getting closer and closer to the parts about Marvel and Star Wars, which is giving me tons of new ideas for the shop and making me even more anxious to go back to Florida (or Anaheim, Tokyo, and Shanghai is Carly has her way)!

As I pointed out last week, New Year’s Eve & Day will NOT affect our business hours OR the new release schedule, so get your year off on the right foot with the books below!

I’m down at the beach with my family this New Comic Book Thursday, but I hope you had an excellent Christmas! We were lucky enough to be joined by G-Man creator Chris Giarrusso at my house for the high holiday, and he gifted me his first ever drawing of the breakout star of Rise of Skywalker, Babu Frik!

Holiday hours! We’ll be closing on Tuesday, December 24th at 5 PM instead of the usual 7 PM for Christmas Eve, we’ll be closed all day on Wednesday, December 25th for Christmas, and we’ll have New Releases ready to go at 8 AM on Thursday, December 26th, when we’ll close at 7 PM as usual. That’s it! Hours and new releases will be business as usual for the week of New Year’s and then, weather permitting, will be that way until we open early for Free Comic Book Day in May!

It’s a Christmas miracle! This amazing run of X-Men that featuring almost every single key issue from #9 onwards except for the first appearance of Gambit just dropped into our lap on Friday afternoon and is now up on the backwall and in the back issue bins!

I’m direct your attention to the tables to the right as you walk in the store, which we’ve re-stocked and will continue to refresh between now and Christmas with graphic novels at up to 80% OFF, so even if you took advantage of the offerings for Black Friday, be sure to check again the next time you’re in!
